Rural Aid supports rural communities to come together, build local leadership, and take action to create the future they dream of.

We do this by facilitating community-building workshops, developing locally-led Community Action Plans, and supporting communities to launch projects.

Workshop A: Building Your Toolkit for Community-Led Change

Grow your understanding of community development and how it strengthens rural communities.

This practical workshop supports people who are eager to shape a positive future for their rural community. Together, we’ll explore community development tools and strategies that help turn ideas into action.

1-day workshop

Workshop B: Community Opportunities Workshop

Bring your community together to discover what’s possible when you focus on what’s strong, not what’s wrong.

This interactive workshop brings members of your community together for a positive, future-focused conversation. It creates an opportunity to brainstorm ideas for community-led projects which build on local strengths to overcome local challenges.

1-day workshop OR Half-day workshop

Workshop C: Planning for Community-Led Change

Work together to turn big ideas into practical, achievable plans.

This workshop supports communities to turn big ideas into practical plans for action. It brings local people together to prioritise shared goals, form project working groups, identify strategies for success, and build achievable plans for launching community-led projects.

 Half-day workshop

Workshop D: Reflecting & Learning from Community-Led Change

Celebrate the wins, learn from the setbacks, and build momentum for ongoing community-led change.

This workshop supports local project working groups to reflect on their projects, learn from experience, adapt plans, and prepare for next steps. It provides an opportunity to celebrate hard work, learn from successes and setbacks, and build momentum for continued action.
